Azerbaijani weightlifter Tehran Mammadov achieved a remarkable triple silver finish at the European Weightlifting Championships held in the Albanian city of Durres.
According to the Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation, Mammadov competed in the 65 kg weight category, lifting 133 kg in the snatch and 155 kg in the clean and jerk, for a total of 288 kg. His consistent performance earned him silver medals in both events and in the overall ranking.
The medals were presented by Firdovsi Umudov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation and a member of the advisory group of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).
Mammadov’s achievement adds to Azerbaijan’s growing presence in European weightlifting and underscores the country’s continued success in the sport’s lighter weight divisions.
