Five Azerbaijani boxers have punched their tickets to the semifinals of the European Junior Boxing Championships currently underway in Novi Pazar, Serbia.
According to the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation, seven Azerbaijani athletes secured victories during the first two days of the tournament.
Ali Aliyev (48 kg) and Adil Zalov (70 kg) advanced to the quarterfinal stage, while five others—Muhammad Rasulov (50 kg), Raul Heydarli (54 kg), Safdar Mammadzade (+80 kg), Jamila Muradli (52 kg), and Zahra Mammadova (54 kg)—have progressed to the semifinals.
