Data on births and deaths registered in Azerbaijan over the first ten months of 2025 (January–October) have been made public.
According to the State Statistics Committee, a total of 80,802 newborns were officially registered by the civil registry authorities of the Ministry of Justice during this period.
The statistics show that 2,714 sets of twins and 81 sets of triplets were born nationwide between January and October.
Compared to the same period last year, the birth rate per 1,000 people declined from 10.1 to 9.5, continuing a downward demographic trend.
In terms of gender distribution, 53.1% of newborns were boys, while 46.9% were girls.
Over the same ten-month period, 49,846 deaths were registered across the country. The mortality rate per 1,000 people remained unchanged at 5.8, matching the level recorded during the corresponding period in 2024.
