Azerbaijani Scholar Strengthens International Ties at Radford University

Azerbaijani academic Dr. Agida Manizade has been appointed Assistant to the Vice Provost for Graduate Education at Radford University in Virginia.

According to the university’s announcement, Vice Provost Bethany Asher stated that the appointment reflects Radford’s continued commitment to a student-centered model and the university’s growing success in graduate education.

The Radford University Journal published an extensive profile highlighting Dr. Manizade’s contributions to international education, Report informs.

Dr. Manizade earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics from Baku State University, a master’s degree in mathematics education from the College of William & Mary, and a Ph.D. in mathematics education from the University of Virginia.

She has served as a professor in Radford’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics since 2009.

In addition to her academic role, she is President of the Virginia Council of Teachers of Mathematics and Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Mathematics Teacher Journal.

Her research focuses on mathematics education, teaching methodology, online learning, and educational assessment.

Dr. Manizade is the author of 27 scholarly publications and is widely recognized for her efforts to bridge global academic collaboration in STEM education.
