Erzurum, July 14, 2025 — Azerbaijani football club Araz-Nakhchivan suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Turkish Super Lig side Konyaspor in a pre-season friendly match held Monday in Erzurum, Turkey.
According to Oxu.Az, the match was part of Araz-Nakhchivan’s summer training camp. Despite the loss, forward Ramon Machado found the net for the Nakhchivan side, delivering a standout moment in an otherwise tough contest.
The match was added to the team’s preparation schedule on short notice, as confirmed by club officials earlier in the day.
Araz-Nakhchivan will wrap up their training camp with another high-profile friendly on July 17, when they take on Turkish giants Trabzonspor. The club is using the pre-season matches to build momentum ahead of the upcoming domestic campaign.
