President Aliyev, Israeli Foreign Minister Discuss Expanding Bilateral Ties

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar to discuss the further development of bilateral relations.

According to official information, the sides positively assessed the recent meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Israel held in Davos, where key issues on the bilateral agenda were addressed.

The talks highlighted the steady expansion of cooperation across multiple areas, including trade, energy, tourism, agriculture, water management, high technologies and artificial intelligence. Both sides emphasized that regular high-level contacts and mutual visits continue to play an important role in strengthening partnership ties.

The meeting also touched on the work of the Azerbaijan-Israel intergovernmental commission, noting that its latest session was held recently.

Sa’ar said his visit is accompanied by representatives of major Israeli business circles, adding that the upcoming Azerbaijan-Israel business forum is expected to give new momentum to trade and economic cooperation.

The Israeli foreign minister also thanked President Aliyev for the state-level attention and support provided to the Jewish community in Azerbaijan.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
