Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has arrived in Azerbaijan to attend the 12th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which will take place in the city of Gabala.
According to Report, a guard of honor was lined up at Gabala International Airport to welcome the distinguished guest. Orbán was received by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture Adil Karimli and other officials.
The Council of Foreign Ministers of the OTS is scheduled to convene tomorrow under the theme “Regional Peace and Security.” The ministerial session will precede the main summit, where leaders of member and observer states will discuss progress achieved since the last meeting and set new strategic goals for the Turkic world.
At the close of the summit, participants are expected to adopt a series of key documents, including the Declaration of the 12th OTS Summit. Following the event, the chairmanship of the Organization will officially pass from Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan.
