UK Company to Complete Nakhchivan Master Plan Next Year

The British urban planning company Chapman Taylor, known for its extensive global experience in architecture and city design, has begun work on the Master Plan for the city of Nakhchivan, Report informs.

Company director Marcelina Zelinska told the outlet that the project is scheduled for completion next year.

“Our goal is to finish it next year,” she said. “We didn’t want to rush the process. I told the Azerbaijani government that the more time we have, the better – it’s important to study the area carefully and speak with many people. Nakhchivan is a very large city.”

Zelinska explained that the Master Plan will serve as a 20-year roadmap for the city’s development.

The project is part of the State Program on the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023–2027, which envisions large-scale modernization and sustainable urban growth in the region.
