MOLDOVA, July 24 — After being eliminated from the UEFA Europa League by Slovenia’s Celje, Azerbaijani side Sabah FC resumed its European campaign in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, facing Moldovan club Petrocub away.
The match ended in a solid 2–0 victory for Sabah.
Goals for the visiting team were scored late in the game by Pavol Šafranko in the 84th minute and Kahim Parris in the 90th.
The return leg will take place on July 31.
