Baku, Sept. 20, 2025
Azerbaijan’s direct investment in the United States reached $77.6 million in the first half of 2025, 3.95 times higher than the same period a year earlier, according to data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) cited by Report.
The U.S. now accounts for 5.8% of Azerbaijan’s total outward direct investment, up from 2.0% a year ago.
Inbound flows also strengthened: U.S. direct investment into Azerbaijan totaled $89.5 million in January–June, up 39.75% year-on-year. America’s share in total FDI into Azerbaijan increased to 2.8% from 2.2%.
The figures point to deeper two-way capital ties, with U.S. investment into Azerbaijan outpacing Azerbaijan’s outflows to the U.S. by roughly $11.9 million in the period. The CBA did not disclose a sectoral breakdown.
