The U.S. Embassy in Baku has announced that its official Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) accounts will not be updated on a regular basis during the ongoing lapse in U.S. government appropriations, except for urgent safety and security information.
According to the statement, scheduled passport and visa transit services in the United States and at American embassies and consulates abroad will continue “as the situation permits.”

However, the embassy said public updates will remain suspended until full operations resume.
The embassy advised citizens to consult the official website travel.state.gov for the latest information on consular services and operating status.
