Baku, July 18, 2025 — As the application deadline for the 2026–2027 Fulbright Foreign Student Master’s Program approaches, the U.S. Embassy in Baku is spotlighting the journey of a distinguished program alumna, Vali Huseynov, to inspire prospective applicants in Azerbaijan.

Vali completed her master’s degree in Education Policy, Planning, and Administration at Boston University in 2012 through the Fulbright Program. Her time in the United States, she says, transformed her understanding of educational systems—particularly in areas such as assessment, equity, and policy reform.
But for Vali, the Fulbright experience was about much more than academics. “It reshaped my thinking, helped me build global relationships, and empowered me to contribute meaningfully to the future of education,” she said.

Since completing the program, Vali has worked across the Caucasus and Central Asia, advising governments and educational technology firms on reform strategies aimed at improving the quality and fairness of education systems.

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program, sponsored by the U.S. government, offers Azerbaijani students the opportunity to pursue graduate studies in the United States. The program is widely regarded for its emphasis on leadership development, cultural exchange, and academic excellence.
📅 The deadline to apply for the 2026–2027 cycle is July 30.
