A new U.S.-Azerbaijan Strategic Working Group will begin operations in the near future, marking a new stage in bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The announcement was made by the U.S. Department of State.
According to the statement, the initiative aims to strengthen long-term strategic partnership and expand collaboration across several key sectors:
“The charter of the U.S.-Azerbaijan Strategic Working Group will, for the first time, establish the foundation for a strategic partnership between the United States and Azerbaijan, expanding cooperation in regional connectivity, economic investment, and security,” the State Department said.
Washington also confirmed that by the end of the year, it plans to set up the first joint working groups with both Azerbaijan and Armenia, building on recent agreements and supporting ongoing regional stabilization efforts.
