Azerbaijani athletes captured three medals on Wednesday at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, concluding the competition day with two silvers and one bronze.
According to Report, Nigar Mirzazade (68 kg) earned a bronze medal, while Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) and freestyle wrestler Islam Bazarganov (57 kg) each claimed silver after falling short in their final bouts.
Freestyle wrestler Ali Rahimzade (65 kg) competed for bronze but was defeated in his medal match.
With today’s results, Azerbaijan’s wrestling delegation finishes the day with two silver medals and one bronze.

Earlier in the day, Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) and Islam Bazarganov (57 kg) advanced to the finals but were stopped short of gold, securing second place.
Nigar Mirzazade (68 kg) and Ali Rahimzade (65 kg) both advanced to bronze-medal contention, with Mirzazade later successfully winning her bout.
