Two foreign footballers playing in Azerbaijan have been deported, local media reported.
According to prosport.az, the players are French nationals of African origin who were competing in the First League.
The footballers are 20-year-old goalkeeper Mathisse Morville, of Senegalese descent, and 22-year-old left winger Noa Lobedire. Both had been playing for Jabrayil and signed contracts with the club on September 1.
They were deported by the State Migration Service due to issues related to their temporary residence registration.
Another foreign player, 18-year-old Ghanaian Kwaku Agyey, who joined Shakhdag Gusar last month, also faced the risk of deportation. However, the club paid a fine on his behalf, preventing his removal.
It is also reported that Jabrayil is scheduled to host league leaders Shafa today in Shamakhy.
