Trump Signs Executive Orders to Boost AI Development and Global Exports

WASHINGTON, July 23, 2025 — U.S. President Donald Trump has signed three executive orders aimed at accelerating the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies within the country and turning the United States into a global exporter of AI-based innovations.

Speaking at a national conference on AI in Washington, Trump declared America’s leadership in the global AI race, Report informs.

“America was the first to enter the race in artificial intelligence. And today, as President of the United States, I am announcing that America will win it,” he stated.

Trump emphasized that the U.S. currently holds a significant lead over China in the AI sector and is committed to reinforcing that advantage. One of the newly signed executive orders seeks to position the U.S. as an “export engine” for AI technologies, especially in supplying specialized software and computer hardware to allied countries.

According to a White House statement, the executive actions are designed to streamline processes and remove bureaucratic barriers to fast-track major AI infrastructure projects across the nation. Trump noted that this includes speeding up approvals and licenses by federal authorities to ensure rapid deployment of AI initiatives.

The President also argued for relaxing certain intellectual property requirements related to AI training materials.

“If you have to pay for every article, every book, everything you study, you cannot expect your AI program to succeed,” he said, suggesting that rigid copyright restrictions could hinder U.S. competitiveness.

The move signals a renewed push by the Trump administration to outpace China in strategic tech innovation, while bolstering America’s influence as a global supplier of cutting-edge AI technologies.
