The Washington administration wants to reach an agreement with Russia regarding the resolution of the Ukraine conflict within 10 days, or else they will impose import tariffs.
The President Donald Trump made this statement while speaking to journalists aboard his plane on his way from Aberdeen to Washington.
“10 days, starting today,” the U.S. leader replied when asked how he would shorten the previously set 50-day period for reaching the mentioned agreements.
“And then we will impose tariffs and so on. And I don’t know if this will affect Russia,” Trump added. “It may affect them [Russia] or not. But it may [affect them],” he said.
According to Trump, the Russian side “probably wants to continue the war.”
