Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court has завершed its review of a cassation appeal filed in the case of TikToker Zeynab An-Neymi, who was convicted on drug-related charges.
According to Vesti Baku, the hearing was held under the chairmanship of Judge Ilkin Rajabov. The court ruled to reject the cassation appeal, leaving the previous verdict unchanged.
Zeynab An-Neymi was detained following an operation conducted by officers of the Nasimi District Police Department.
She was charged under Article 234.4.1 of Azerbaijan’s Criminal Code, which covers the illegal production, acquisition, storage, transportation, or sale of narcotic drugs committed by an organized group or by prior conspiracy.
Under a verdict issued by the Baku Court on Serious Crimes, An-Neymi was sentenced to five years and one month in prison. The ruling has now entered into legal force.
