BAKU, July 16 — TikTok is ramping up efforts to maintain a safe and creative environment for users in Azerbaijan, leveraging advanced moderation technologies and a global network of content review professionals, the company announced in its Q1 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report.
In the first quarter of 2025, TikTok removed more than 1 million videos in Azerbaijan for violating its Community Guidelines. Of these:

99% were taken down proactively, before being reported by users;

97% were removed within 24 hours of publication, exceeding global averages.
These figures highlight the platform’s increasing reliance on AI-powered moderation systems and real-time oversight, aimed at preventing the spread of harmful or inappropriate content.
For comparison, TikTok removed over 3 million videos from Azerbaijan throughout all of 2024, signaling a strong continuation of enforcement into 2025.
Global Trends Reflect Similar Gains
Globally, in Q1 2025, TikTok removed:

99% of them proactively;

94.3% within 24 hours of posting.
An impressive 87% of all global takedowns were carried out using automated moderation technologies, marking a record high for the platform.
Additionally, TikTok intensified scrutiny over live content:

19 million livestreams were suspended in Q1 for violations—up 50% from the previous quarter.
