Azerbaijan will host three international boxing tournaments in 2026, further strengthening the country’s position as a regional hub for the sport.
According to Oxu.az, citing the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation, all three competitions will take place at the Baku Boxing Center.
The tournament calendar includes:
April 2–8 – The Great Silk Way Tournament (senior boxers)
May 2–8 – Heydar Aliyev Cup for boxers under 17
December 4–10 – Abbas Aghalarov Memorial Tournament
The events are expected to attract international participants and contribute to the development of boxing at both senior and youth levels in Azerbaijan.
Hosting multiple international tournaments in one year highlights Azerbaijan’s ongoing investment in sports infrastructure and its growing role in organizing high-profile boxing competitions.
