Speed Limit on Baku – Alyat – Gazakh – Georgia Border Road Section to Be Reduced

The maximum speed limit on a 50-kilometer stretch of the Baku – Alyat – Gazakh – Georgia border road (from the Lokbatan ring to the Azpetrol gas station in Alyat settlement) will be reduced from 110 km/h to 90 km/h starting July 30 in order to improve road safety.

This was reported by the press service of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

According to the information, on sections of the road where there are unregulated pedestrian crossings at the same level, the maximum speed limit will be reduced to 70 km/h.

“Currently, works are underway on this section of the road to install appropriate traffic signs. Drivers are urged to comply with the speed limits to ensure traffic safety,” the AYNA statement says.
