TIANJIN — September 2, 2025. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met in Tianjin with Mo Dingci, chairman of China National Chemical Engineering (CNCEC), to discuss cooperation in petrochemicals, oil refining, and downstream production.
CNCEC’s chairman noted Azerbaijan’s favorable investment climate. The sides exchanged views on expanding CNCEC’s participation in projects in Azerbaijan.
In the presence of President Aliyev and Chairman Mo, SOCAR (State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic) and China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation Seven LTD (CNCEC Seven) exchanged a Framework Agreement. The document provides for joint project development in Azerbaijan and in third countries.
