The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and U.S.-based Emerson Electric Co. have explored potential collaboration on renewable energy projects during high-level talks in Baku.
According to SOCAR, the discussions took place during a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and John Nita, President of Emerson’s European operations.

The two sides also discussed advancing digitalization and automation in the oil and gas sector, with a focus on deploying intelligent monitoring systems.
The agenda further included strategies for reducing emissions, enhancing energy efficiency, and implementing sustainable technological solutions across energy infrastructure.
