Senior Azerbaijani Envoy Holds Multiple High-Level Talks in Ankara

Azerbaijani Presidential Representative for Special Assignments Khalaf Khalafov held a series of high-level meetings in Ankara, discussing regional developments and strategic cooperation with senior Turkish officials.

According to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkey, Khalafov met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to review bilateral ties and exchange views on key regional dynamics. The sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued coordination on issues of mutual interest.

Earlier, Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced via its official X account that Minister Fidan had formally received Khalafov as part of the Azerbaijani diplomat’s working visit.

Khalafov also held talks with Akif Çağatay Kılıç, Chief Foreign Policy and Security Advisor to the President of Turkey. Discussions centered on bilateral relations and expanded cooperation across political and security domains.

In a separate meeting, the Azerbaijani envoy met with Turkey’s Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci. The two reviewed the current state of the Azerbaijan–Turkey strategic partnership, regional processes in the South Caucasus, and prospects for deeper collaboration in the coming period.

The visit highlighted the continued intensity of diplomatic engagement between Baku and Ankara, underscoring both countries’ aligned positions on regional stability and strategic coordination.
