Foreign visitors spent 2.52 billion manats in Azerbaijan between January and September 2025, according to new figures released by the State Statistics Committee.
The spending covered various purposes, including business trips, leisure and entertainment, visiting relatives and friends, medical treatment, religious pilgrimages, shopping, and transit travel.
Russian tourists led all visitors by total expenditure, spending 684.9 million manats during the first nine months of the year. They were followed by Indian travelers, who spent 266.2 million manats, and Turkish visitors, with 259.7 million manats in total spending.
Tourism continues to be one of Azerbaijan’s fastest-growing non-oil sectors, driven by increased connectivity, regional events, and simplified visa procedures.
