According to the Justice Ministry’s statement, the listed individuals were allegedly involved in “the creation and dissemination of materials” for foreign or international organizations whose activities have been declared undesirable in Russia.

Suleymanov, 30, is the son of an Azerbaijani father and a Ukrainian mother.

He graduated from the Faculty of World Politics at Moscow State University and worked for TASS from 2017 to 2022, including as a senior correspondent in Cairo.

Following the start of the war in Ukraine, he left Russia and settled in Baku, where he now contributes commentary on Middle Eastern affairs to major international outlets such as The Washington Post and CNN, while also maintaining a Telegram blog.
