Lake Khojasan, located in Baku’s Binagadi district, is facing an escalating environmental crisis as residents and local experts raise alarms over unchecked pollution and deteriorating sanitary conditions.
As Media.Az informs, the shoreline is littered with household garbage, construction debris, plastic bottles, and bags—posing a grave threat to the local ecosystem. According to residents, the situation is made worse by untreated sewage being discharged directly into the lake.
Locals report unbearable odors and unsanitary conditions in the surrounding areas, warning that the contamination poses serious health risks to the community as well as long-term damage to the environment.
