Residents of Baku Complain About Noise from Nearby Restaurant

Residents of a multi-apartment building at 24 Lütfi Zadə Street in Baku’s Khatai district have reached out to baku.ws, complaining about unbearable living conditions caused by a noisy nearby restaurant.

According to locals, even during the hot summer nights, they are forced to keep their windows closed due to the deafening music coming from the restaurant late at night.

“The problem is not limited to loud music inside the venue. The restaurant’s musicians often take their performances outside, staging concerts with drums. There are frequent incidents of fights and loud conflicts. The noise continues deep into the night — sometimes until 3 or 4 a.m.,” one resident said.

Addressing the legal aspects, Elbrus Ibrahimov, Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) Press Service and police lieutenant, emphasized that law enforcement officers respond to such citizen complaints and take appropriate action.

“According to current legislation, individuals who disturb the peace between midnight and 7 a.m. are subject to administrative liability.

This applies to loud singing, playing musical instruments, turning up televisions, radios, stereos, and other devices at high volume in apartments, entrances, courtyards of residential buildings, streets, recreational areas, vehicles, and other public places,” the MIA representative explained.
