July 18, 2025 – Baku Azerbaijan’s top football club Qarabağ FK has officially released its 29-man squad for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, where they will face Irish side Shelbourne FC.
The squad list includes 3 goalkeepers, 9 defenders, 9 midfielders, and 3 forwards. Two of the club’s academy graduates – defender Amin Rzayev and midfielder Hikmet Jabrayilzade – have also been included in the traveling lineup, highlighting the club’s ongoing commitment to homegrown talent.
Qarabağ will play the first leg away in Ireland on July 23, with the return leg scheduled for July 30 at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium in Baku.
The club, a dominant force in Azerbaijani football and a familiar name in European competition, is aiming to advance further into the Champions League campaign as part of its long-standing ambition to make a return to the group stages.
Tickets for the home leg went on sale earlier this week, with fans eager to support their team in what promises to be a high-stakes European showdown.
