Azerbaijani photographer Eltaj Zeynalov, known for his distinctive artistic style and his work with vulnerable communities, has passed away, his relatives confirmed on Saturday.
According to family members, Zeynalov went missing on Friday before being found near the seaside. Authorities have not released additional information.
Born in 1986, Zeynalov earned recognition for his expressive, art-driven photography, collaborating with cultural institutions, creative communities and social initiatives. He was also actively involved in volunteer programs supporting people with disabilities, conducting workshops and helping organize educational seminars.
Friends and colleagues described him as a dedicated artist whose work blended aesthetics with deep empathy for the individuals he photographed.
Azerbaijan’s creative community has expressed condolences to his family, noting his contributions to the country’s cultural life.
