President Pezeshkian: Iran Prioritizes Regional Cooperation

TEHRAN, July 27, 2025 — Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has reaffirmed that regional cooperation remains a cornerstone of Iran’s foreign policy, with a focus on strengthening ties with neighboring countries including Azerbaijan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the Gulf states.

According to Mehr News Agency, Pezeshkian emphasized that improving relations with neighboring nations could yield positive outcomes for all sides.

He also stated that Iran will expand its engagement with multilateral platforms such as BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

“Iran will coordinate its actions with countries like Russia, China, and other strategic partners, and will continue this process with European and other international actors,” the president noted.
