Baku — The second round of the Misli Premier League continued with Araz-Nakhchivan claiming an away victory over Turan Tovuz, winning 2–1.
Charles Boli opened the scoring for the visitors in the 38th minute, while Ba-Muaka Simakala doubled the lead early in the second half (52’). Turan Tovuz pulled one back through Alejandro Serrano, who converted a penalty in the 77th minute, but it wasn’t enough to avoid defeat.
With this result, Araz-Nakhchivan moved to 4 points, while Turan Tovuz remained on 3.
Earlier in the day, Sabah earned a 2–1 away win against Shamakhi. In the round’s other matches, Neftchi were held to a draw by Imishli, Sumgayit stunned Qarabag 1–0, and Karvan-Yevlakh edged Kapaz 3–2. The round concludes on August 25 with Gabala facing Zira.
