Warsaw, July 18, 2025 — Polish authorities have announced plans to deport hundreds of Georgian citizens following allegations of involvement in criminal activities across the country.
According to RIA Novosti, the decision was confirmed by Poland’s Interior Minister Tomasz Siemoniak, who cited growing concerns over law and order.
“We are facing a problem with crime among Georgian citizens. Hundreds are being removed from Poland due to their involvement in criminal activities,” Siemoniak stated.
While the Polish government has not provided detailed figures or specified the nature of the alleged crimes, the announcement marks a significant escalation in Warsaw’s stance on immigration and public security, particularly concerning nationals from Georgia.
The move may strain bilateral relations between Poland and Georgia, and is expected to prompt diplomatic responses from Tbilisi, where such mass deportations could be viewed as politically sensitive.
