There has been a slowdown in the process of normalizing Russian-American relations, and impulses are needed from both sides.
As reported by Russian media, this was stated by the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov.
“Of course, there has been a slowdown, indeed, and while the normalization process is ongoing, let’s say, ‘neither here nor there.’ Of course, we would like to see more dynamics, and we are interested in that. But to move forward, impulses are needed from both sides,” he said.
Peskov also noted that the Russian side had taken note of U.S. President Donald Trump’s statements that he had shortened the timeframe for Ukrainian settlement from 50 to 10-12 days and that he was no longer interested in discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin on this issue.
