The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has welcomed the Joint Declaration signed by Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington on August 8, calling it a significant achievement on the path to lasting peace.
In a statement published on its official website, the OSCE congratulated both countries and praised the role of U.S. President Donald Trump in facilitating the process.
“We congratulate Azerbaijan and Armenia on this important achievement and highly appreciate the role of U.S. President Donald Trump in making this process possible,” the statement read.
The organization reaffirmed its commitment to all efforts aimed at establishing sustainable peace and stability in both states and across the region.
“The OSCE stands ready to fulfill the tasks entrusted to it in connection with the implementation of the Joint Declaration adopted on August 8,” the statement concluded.
