Armenia and Azerbaijan have made substantial progress toward a peace agreement, according to senior officials from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
Kate Fearon, Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre, highlighted the advancement during a press conference following the 32nd OSCE Ministerial Council meeting held in Vienna.

“Armenia and Azerbaijan have achieved remarkable progress on the path to peace. This once again reminds us of the power of diplomacy,” Fearon said.
She noted that earlier in the week, in line with a ministerial decision, the OSCE formally closed the Minsk Process, which had long served as the organization’s mediation platform on the conflict.
Fearon emphasized that diplomacy and dialogue remain the strongest tools for ensuring peace and security in the region, underscoring the momentum generated by the latest bilateral steps between Baku and Yerevan.
