Jamil Hasanli, chairman of the opposition-aligned National Council, has given testimony at Azerbaijan’s State Security Service (SSS) as part of an ongoing criminal investigation involving former Presidential Administration chief Ramiz Mehdiyev.
Following the interrogation, Hasanli was released.
Earlier Attempt to Leave the Country Blocked

Earlier today, Hasanli wrote on social media that he had attempted to board a flight to Dubai with his wife “for a family event,” but was informed at the airport that he was prohibited from leaving the country. His wife was allowed to travel, he said.
