OPEC: Azerbaijan Misses Output Target by 91,000 Barrels per Day

Azerbaijan produced an average of 460,000 barrels of oil per day in September 2025, according to OPEC’s latest monthly report.

The figure represents an increase of 4,000 barrels per day compared to August. However, it remains 91,000 barrels below the country’s official OPEC+ production quota of 551,000 barrels per day for the year.

According to OPEC data, Azerbaijan’s daily oil production averaged 465,000 barrels in the first quarter, 462,000 in the second, and 458,000 in the third quarter of 2025. In 2024, the annual average stood at 482,000 barrels per day.

OPEC has kept its forecast for total liquid hydrocarbon supply growth from OPEC+ members unchanged at 810,000 barrels per day in 2025, bringing total output to 54.01 million barrels per day.

The main contributors to the increase are expected to be the United States, Brazil, Canada, and Argentina, while production in Angola is forecast to continue declining. The organization maintained its estimate for U.S. supply growth at 310,000 barrels per day, bringing American production to 22.07 million barrels per day next year.
