Kazakhstan recorded a 2.7% increase in the number of Azerbaijani citizens entering the country during the first half of 2025, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In response to an inquiry from Report, the ministry’s press office stated that 48,714 Azerbaijani nationals entered Kazakhstan between January and June — 1,299 more people than during the same period in 2024.
The ministry also reported that 48,479 Azerbaijani citizens left Kazakhstan during the first half of 2025, up from 47,552 departures in the first half of 2024.
According to acting Minister of Internal Affairs Bauyrzhan Alenov, a total of 7.5 million foreign nationals entered Kazakhstan in the first six months of 2025, while 7.2 million people exited the country over the same period.
The figures reflect Kazakhstan’s continued role as a key transit and migration hub in Central Asia.
