No Outbreak of Childhood Infections in Azerbaijan, Health Ministry Confirms

BAKU, July 24 — Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Health has dismissed reports of a surge in infectious diseases among children, stating that the country’s epidemiological situation remains stable.

Responding to an inquiry by APA, ministry officials confirmed there has been no significant increase in pediatric visits to medical institutions related to infectious illnesses.

“The cases that have been reported are mostly mild and patients recover quickly,” the ministry emphasized.

Authorities added that Azerbaijan’s sanitary-epidemiological services are operating in an enhanced monitoring mode, maintaining vigilance across the country.

“State health oversight bodies continue to monitor the epidemiological landscape and implement preventive measures as needed. Parents are encouraged to prioritize their children’s hygiene, ensure proper nutrition, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and support routines that strengthen immune health,” the statement concluded.
