Baku, August 10 – Azerbaijani football club Neftchi Baku has strengthened its squad with the signing of Falaye Sacko, a 30-year-old right-back who previously played for French side Montpellier.
The club announced the transfer on its official social media pages, confirming that Sacko had terminated his contract with Montpellier by mutual agreement.
While financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, the contract with the Mali national team player is set for two seasons.

Sacko joined Montpellier in 2023, but the club endured a difficult campaign last season, finishing bottom of Ligue 1 with just 16 points and dropping to the second division.
