MOSCOW, July 17 — Russia has warned that it considers itself entitled to strike military facilities in countries that supply Ukraine with long-range weapons capable of reaching deep into Russian territory.
The statement was made by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova during a press briefing, according to Mk.ru.
Zakharova emphasized that long-range missile systems, such as the German-made “Taurus,” cannot be used by Ukrainian forces without significant external support.
“In the event of the deployment of Taurus missiles or their modifications, German military personnel would effectively be directly involved in combat operations against Russia,” she stated.
The comments come amid ongoing tensions over Western military aid to Ukraine, with Moscow increasingly framing such support as a form of direct participation in the conflict.
