Mobile devices lost ground in Azerbaijan’s electronics market for the third month in a row, according to new data from Statcounter cited by Report.
In September, mobile devices accounted for 56.66% of total usage across platforms (computers, mobile, and tablets).
That represents a drop of 10.22 percentage points from August and 16.08 points compared to the same period last year. Overall, the mobile share has fallen about 30% over the past three months.
Meanwhile, desktop and laptop computers have rebounded strongly. Their market share rose by 10.34 points month-on-month and 16.41 points year-on-year, reaching 42.78% in September.
Tablets remain a small segment of the market. Their share stood at 0.56%, down slightly from the previous month and 0.33 points lower than a year earlier.
The figures point to a gradual rebalancing of digital device use in Azerbaijan, with consumers shifting away from mobile dominance toward increased reliance on traditional computers.
