The military parade marking the 5th anniversary of Victory Day in Baku was not only a powerful display of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and military strength but also a clear symbol of deep strategic and fraternal ties among Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Pakistan, said Arzu Naghiyev, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Defense, Security, and Anti-Corruption.
According to Naghiyev, both the scale and organization of the parade were widely praised by the public and international observers.

“Particular attention was drawn to the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Their presence was more than ceremonial – it carried important political and strategic messages,” he noted.
In the speeches of the three leaders – Ilham Aliyev, Erdoğan, and Sharif – the dominant themes were peace, unity, and collective security.
“Their statements demonstrated that these nations support each other’s independence and territorial integrity and act from a unified position,” Naghiyev emphasized, adding that the event reflected the emerging concept of joint regional security.
The air show by Turkish F-16 fighter jets, along with the participation of soldiers and officers from Pakistan and Turkey, gave the ceremony a distinctive character and underscored the strong level of military cooperation among the three countries.
