Unanswered questions continue to surround the criminal case of former SOCAR investment executive Adnan Ahmadzade, detained five days ago on allegations that chemical additives were introduced into crude oil flowing through the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline.

Meanwhile, conflicting reports continue to circulate in local media and on social networks, some suggesting a larger scheme. Mirzayev reminded that under the law, the presumption of innocence applies, and premature accusations cannot substitute for a court ruling.
