The land market in Azerbaijan’s capital is heating up, with prices in Baku jumping by as much as 20 percent in recent months.
According to iqtisadiyyat.az, Deputy Chair of the Azerbaijani Chamber of Appraisers Gunay Ismayılgızı said demand has risen sharply for plots located near the city center and in expanding districts with solid infrastructure.
“Because of limited supply and growing interest in areas suitable for construction, land prices have climbed by 15–20 percent,” she explained.
Ismayılgızı added that the surge is not confined to land alone. The private housing market is also showing resilience. “Stable demand for both new and older houses points to the market’s broad appeal and signals sustainable growth,” she said.
