Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog have congratulated the leaders and people of Azerbaijan and Armenia on the signing of a landmark peace agreement brokered in Washington by U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a post on X, Netanyahu praised Trump’s role:
“Congratulations, President Trump! Your bold leadership and global vision have made another peace agreement possible.
I also congratulate President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia, and the peoples of both nations on this historic accord. May you all enjoy a new era of reconciliation and shared prosperity.”
President Herzog also took to X to commend the signing of the Joint Declaration by Aliyev, Pashinyan, and Trump, underscoring the agreement’s significance as a turning point in the South Caucasus peace process.
