Tehran, August 10 – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran supports the implementation of the Zangezur Corridor project, provided it does not undermine the territorial integrity of regional states.
According to the “Azad Iran” Telegram channel, Pezeshkian stated that Tehran’s conditions have been met: “The route preserves existing borders, ensures transport connectivity, and does not obstruct transit to Europe or the north.”
However, the Iranian leader also voiced concern over potential participation of U.S. companies in the project, signaling lingering skepticism in Tehran despite its conditional backing.
