An Azerbaijani citizen has been placed on Interpol’s international wanted list over terrorism-related charges.
According to law enforcement authorities, Govhar Agaverdiyeva, born in 1981, is accused under Articles 214-1 (Financing of Terrorism) and 283-1 (Establishing a Stable Group to Participate in Armed Conflicts Outside Azerbaijan) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Investigators say Agaverdiyeva evaded questioning in a criminal probe. As a result, a court issued a warrant for her arrest, and she was subsequently placed on Interpol’s wanted list.
Authorities have not yet disclosed further details about the alleged activities or her possible whereabouts.
