Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is in Egypt on a working visit at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to attend the Middle East Peace Summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Report said.
Aliyev arrived at the International Congress Center, where the high-level gathering is taking place. He was welcomed by President el-Sisi upon arrival.
During the summit, President Aliyev held several informal “on-the-go” discussions with foreign leaders, including Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The brief exchange between the two leaders took place on the sidelines of the event.
Aliyev also met informally with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof.
